Learner Driver - Registration of interest

How it works

important information

  • You can only sign up through this website to join the program. Calls will be redirected to this website.
  • Once you have registered, we will contact you within 7 working days to connect. If we do not hear back from you or if you do not respond to calls or messages, we will send you a notice advising that your expression of interest will be removed. If this happens, you will need to re-apply.
  • Our mentors are volunteers who generously give their time to support learner drivers in gaining supervised driving experience. This program is not a substitute for formal driving lessons.
  • Time2Drive enforces strict rules to prioritise safety and minimise risks.
  • We cannot currently assist school students with their supervised hours. This is due to many of our volunteers being available only during weekdays. Any updates will be posted here on the website.

FAQs

Does the program provide free driving lessons?

No. The program provides supervised driving practice with volunteer mentors at no cost. It is not a replacement for professional driving lessons.

Can Volunteering Mentors help me complete my supervised hours?

Yes. Mentors provide support for supervised driving experience to help you build skills and confidence, but you must still comply with QLD Learner Licence requirements and professional lesson recommendations.

Do your cars have dual controls?

No, our cars do not have dual controls. Our volunteers are not accredited to operate dual control systems, and they do not provide the same level of professional instruction you would receive from a licensed driving school.
