TIME2DRIVE

VOLUNTEER MENTOR

Time2Drive Learner Driver Mentor Program is managed and driven by National Joblink and our amazing Volunteer Mentors.

We are always looking for volunteer mentors to help run this fantastic program.

If you are passionate about creating safe road users, a safe community and helping people from a wide range of backgrounds, we would love to hear from you.

Current statistics show that 41% of unemployed young Australians have no driver's licence.

Helping our community means better access to employment, education, and health and gives people the freedom for a better life.

Many in our community have no access to suitable, road-safe vehicles nor a family member to support them. Volunteering provides the added benefit of making friends and connecting with the district. It's a way to keep in touch with our local area, and your contribution - to help change lives - is greatly appreciated.

As a Time2Drive Learner Driver Mentor Volunteer, you will receive professional training and ongoing support, plus be part of an organisation that aims to help people and change lives.

VOLUNTEER ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible, you will need to:

  • hold a current and Australian Open Drivers licence for a minimum of one year
  • be willing to attend the Volunteer Mentor Driver training
  • hold or willing to gain a working with children Blue card (Time2Drive will assist with this)

VOLUNTEER BENEFITS

  • You are providing opportunities to those in our community who have no access to suitable road-safe vehicles, finance, or a family member to support them
  • You are thinking BIG. Helping one person to gain their licence, can help their family and kids get to school, sports carnivals or just connect to community. Your will make a huge impact in someone’s life and confidence.
  • You will have access to Time2Drive volunteer incentives such as café discounts and free pre-purchase safety inspection on any vehicles you may  be looking to purchase
  •  Open door policy to support and professional guidance
